¹¹ Then two hundred men went with Absalom from Jerusalem, ^(A)who were invited and ^(B)went ^[a]innocently, and they did not know anything. ¹² And Absalom sent for ^(C)Ahithophel the Gilonite, David’s counselor, from his city ^(D)Giloh, while he was offering the sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong, for ^(E)the people increased continually with Absalom.

David Flees Jerusalem

¹³ Then a messenger came to David, saying, “^(F)The hearts of the men of Israel are ^[b]with Absalom.”
